How to barbecue steaks

Follow this three-step guide and you're on your way to perfect barbecued steaks.


Step 1: For extra-thick steaks, buy beef in one piece and use a large sharp knife to cut it crossways into six thick portions.






Step 2: To avoid flare-ups and stop the steaks sticking to the grill, brush steaks on both sides with garlic oil. It adds flavour, too.

Step 3: Barbecue the steaks, turning once. If you turn them more often, the juices escape and the meat becomes tough.
